This is a variation of the classic 1981 Nintendo arcade game "Donkey Kong" which marked the first ever appearance of Mario (and Donkey Kong). Created by Shigeru Miyamoto, Mario was initially known simply as "Jumpman", but was later renamed and went on to become the "Super" character we all now know and love.
In the original game, the giant gorilla Donkey Kong kidnapped a damsel-in-distress named Pauline and it was up to Mario to save her. In this version, King Boo has kidnapped Mario and it is up to Luigi to save him. Click on the game and press the Space Bar to start.
